May good luck be your friend in everything you do And may trouble be always a stranger to you Happy St. Patrick's Day - March 17th. A ventriloquist is telling Irish jokes in a pub, when an irate Irishman stands up : "You're making' out we're all dumb and stupid. I oughtta punch you in the nose." "I'm sorry sir, I..." "Not you," says the Irishman, "I'm talking to that little fella on your knee." BID Board MeetingThe monthy meeting of the BID Board will take place on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 7:30 a.m. at the Municipal Building on Pilgrim Rd. Conference Room 3344/3345. All are welcome to listen in. Event Planning/Marketing Get TogetherPlease join us in our next endeavors for downtown. We will discuss the Easter event and the Sidewalk Market for May along with other items that come up. Come and join in the fun! This year's Chilly Fest was well received by public and merchants alike. The chili competition held during Chilly Fest had a great turnout. We had 15 competitors this year and pictured here is the #1 winner - Paul Coons. The story behind it is that Paul and his son, John, were competing against each other and Paul said he just wanted to receive 1 more point than his son never thinking he could actually walk away with the #1 trophy. Apparently he and and his granchildren have errected a shrine at home on the mantle! Well I think there will be a family contest next year! Walk MS Walk MS: Menomonee Falls will be held Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Good Shepherd Parish located at N88 W17658 Christman Rd. Men. Falls is the newest of a total of 14 Walk MS events taking place in Wisconsin in 2010. Walk MS is an official event of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society-Wisconsin Chapter and is coordinated by community volunteers. Funds generated through Walk MS support cutting-edge research as well as programs and services for Wisconsin's more than 10,000 residents diagnosed with MS - including 1,000 living in Waukesha County. In fact, Wisconsin has one of the highest incidence rates of MS in the United States with 1 in 500 diagnosed. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. with the walks starting at 10:00 a.m. Participants may choose from a 3-mile or a 1-mile route beginning and ending at Good Shepherd Parish. While there is no registration fee, Walk MS participants and volunteers raise pledges. Those who secure at least $100 in pledges receive a Walk MS t-shirt. Children age 9 years old and younger receive a t-shirt for raising $25. To register for Walk MS or to receive sponsorship information, visit www.wisMS.org or call 262-369-4400 or 800-242-3358.
